Alchemy Glass & Light Announces Its Celestial Series
Glass art sinks—in undermount and above counter configurations— feature patterns reminiscent of worlds beyond.
A revolution in ART FOR THE BATH™.

Los Angeles, CA – Alchemy Glass & Light—renowned for its hand-crafted, glass sinks—has just released a range of heirloom sinks, which evoke the same brilliant intensity of a shooting star and the dazzle of a meteorite shower. The Celestial Series is the result of precious minerals and metals undergoing a transmutation within layers of glass, where earth elements of fire and air coalesce to form an organic color palette.

Meticulously arranged glass fragments in spherical and geometric shapes differentiate this series from the company’s past offerings. The Celestial Series illustrates a new direction in design, and each one-of-a-kind
sink is as aesthetically variable as the cosmos.

“When you are constantly in creation mode, inspiration can come from virtually anywhere,” says Alchemy Artist Steve Weinstock. “When a piece of glass broke in the studio, I decided to reclaim the fragments and experiment with them in my designs. What is so intriguing about the composition is that every time you look at the design, you see something new.”

Although Alchemy has been in business for over 15 years, each collection that the company debuts is a unique testament to their artistic range and credibility.

The Celestial Series includes:

Cosmic Burst and Terra Nova: Mercurial in nature, Cosmic Burst, Terra Nova and Alchemy MosaicTM feature fragmented glass shards and pebbles in a brilliant spectrum of color. The glass pieces are scattered and the resulting pattern is fused to a 3/4” thick piece of glass before the precious mixture of elements evolves into marine-colored and warm golden-orange hues.

Aqua Luna and Retro Orbit: Reminiscent of space exploration voyages, Aqua Luna and Retro Orbit call to mind the luminous and vast nature of outer space. For these models, Weinstock drills circles out of a larger piece of glass and then strategically places them on another layer of glass before adding precious elements such as copper to the palette. The geometric and spherical shapes embed themselves into the larger panel of glass during the firing stage and the saturated primary and mixed colors begin to evolve. Featuring more
conformist shapes than the other designs; these sinks bring a hip, modern vibe to the bath.

Aurora Bloom: Most accurately described as a colorful pinwheel of light, the Aurora Bloom features a sculptural shape, which takes its tactile form within metal crescent-shaped molds.
